Shell Ventures Joins AiDash Series B Funding Round

Kelsie Anderson

In today’s ever-changing world, we all need to work together to find new, innovative solutions to our global issues. AiDash wants to help solve some of those problems, especially when it comes to energy, sustainability, and climate change.

We’ve started to move the needle with our satellite- and AI-powered platform. Tools like our Intelligent Sustainability Management System (ISMS) help companies track and achieve their sustainability goals. And our Intelligent Vegetation Management System (IVMS) allows utilities in over 40 U.S. states and on five continents to operate more efficiently and reliably.

And we’re not ready to stop there. We want to be leaders in the sustainability revolution by providing core industries with actionable insights that will help create a cleaner, greener world for us all.

But to do this, AiDash can’t work alone. To accomplish our own sustainability goals, we need help from like-minded business partners. As such, we’re thrilled to announce an investment from Shell Ventures as the final investor joining our oversubscribed Series B funding round, led by G2 Venture Partners with participation from BGV, National Grid Partners, and Edison International.

We’re thankful for the contributions from investors like Shell Ventures, which will help AiDash further its mission by expanding internationally, developing new, innovative products, and hiring new talent.

In order to adapt to more extreme weather conditions and predict potential hazards, energy companies, along with other core asset companies, need to make use of satellite technology and AI,” said Robert Linck, Chief Investment Officer, Shell Ventures. “Like AiDash, Shell Ventures believes in building a sustainable future by taking an innovative approach to the myriad of challenges that climate change presents. We’re proud to support them in becoming a leading sustainability management solutions provider.

What these investments mean for AiDash

With the official close of our Series B round of funding, we’re excited to get moving in earnest on many of our long-term projects.

We’ll use this funding to:

  • Continue improving on and adding to our product line with even more useful, innovative solutions.
  • Go above and beyond for our existing and future customers with actionable insights to power up operations, maintenance, and sustainability for core industries.
  • Expand our global team, with a plan to hire over 200 new team members in the next 12 months. (If you’d like to be one of them, check out our careers page!)

We’re excited to work with our partners to build a cleaner, greener world for all of us

Making satellite technology and AI accessible to core industries — let alone using satellites and AI to combat climate change — is a difficult mission that requires collaboration from dedicated stakeholders.

Shell Ventures wants to join that mission, and we’re confident that their support will bring AiDash closer to helping as many companies as possible tackle the issues of climate change and sustainability. We look forward to working with them to accomplish our shared goals.
