For one, they’re all major considerations for utilities, especially when it comes to vegetation management. And they’re all on the rise.

Vegetation management (VM) is a cost- and labor-intensive undertaking, even in ideal conditions. Inspecting thousands of miles of lines is no easy task. Neither is finding and clearing vegetation when it poses threats to your transmission and distribution lines.

This expansion comes on heels of the launch of our new platform, the Intelligent Sustainability Management System (ISMS), which we launched at COP26 with National Grid, a leading energy provider and existing UK customer. 

 

AiDash Launches Intelligent Sustainability Management Platform at COP26

This afternoon at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, AiDash announced the launch of its satellite- and AI-powered Intelligent Sustainability Management System (ISMS). Utility and energy companies or any organization with large landholdings can use the platform to measure, enhance, track, report, and offset (METRO) sustainability metrics on land, air, and water (LAW).

 

6 Vegetation Management Trends We Saw at Trees & Utilities 2021

The AiDash team recently took a trip out to Minneapolis for the Utility Arborist Association’s (UAA) Trees and Utilities 2021 conference. During the three days of the conference, we met arborists, vegetation managers, and utility industry professionals who are experts in the field of vegetation management.


Since one aim of the conference was knowledge sharing, we wanted to share some of what we learned while we were there.

AiDash and National Grid will speak on using satellite technology and better vegetation management practices at the Utility Arborist Association’s (UAA) Trees and Utilities conference in Minneapolis, Minn., on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 2:05 PM (CT). 

 

The conference, which runs Oct. 26–28, focuses on bringing utility vegetation managers and urban forestry professionals together to discuss and learn about topics like vegetation management (VM) trends, environmental concerns, and VM best practices.
